Lee Si Eon and his wife, actress Seo Ji Seung, are expecting their first child.
An official from Lee Si Eon’s agency, Story J Company, confirmed the happy news to Ilagan Sports on December 26th. “It’s true that Lee Si Eon will become a father,” the representative shared. “The baby is due next year.”
This exciting milestone comes for the couple, who tied the knot in 2021 after dating publicly for about four years. Based on the due date, they’ll be welcoming their first child about five years after their wedding.
Fans had already begun speculating about the news after Lee Si Eon’s recent social media post. Just a day before the announcement, the actor shared a photo from a Christmas party, featuring festive decorations—baby-shaped balloons among them—offering a subtle hint of the joyful update.
Lee Si Eon has been open about his hopes for fatherhood. During an appearance on the MBC variety show Adventure by Accident 4 last June, he expressed his strong desire to start a family. “I decided to pursue a new family plan… starting this year,” he shared with sincerity. “As the head of my household, I’m fully committed to this. I hope it comes true, whether this year or next.”
Lee Si Eon, a beloved figure in Korean entertainment, debuted in the 2001 film Kick the Moon and became widely known for his roles in dramas like Reply 1997 and on variety shows like I Live Alone. His wife, Seo Ji Seung, debuted in the 2005 drama Sharp and has since appeared in many projects.
