On Dec 9, Lee Si Eon announced his departure from the show via his Instagram.

“Hello, this is Si Eon.

It’s very cold. I hope you all take good care of your health. Always be cautious of COVID-19 and don’t forget to wear a mask.

I’m leaving this message today because I’ve decided to exit ‘I Live Alone,’ which I have been a part of for the past 5 years.

After a long discussion with the production team, I expressed my desire to be more faithful as an actor, and after much consideration, we came to this decision together.

To me, ‘I Live Alone’ is full of precious memories that I will never forget. I was able to have a great time thanks to the staff who always showed us their faith and the members who taught me of preciousness for a long time.

Also, I think it is very fortunate that I was able to receive a lot of attention and love from viewers not only as an actor but also as a human Lee Si Eon. Looking back, everything seems to be just precious and grateful.

At the news of his exit, his fellow cast member Park Nae Rae left cheering messages on his post. Ahn Bo Hyun, Yoo Se Yoon, Jin Se Yeon, Yoon Hyun Min and more, who either is a close friend of the actor or appeared on I Live Alone as guests, also left supportive comments.
