Kim Go Eun and Kim Jae Won officially became husband and wife in the latest episode of Yumi’s Cells Season 3.
The eighth episode of the tvN drama, which aired on May 5th, followed Kim Yu Mi (played by Kim Go Eun) and Shin Soon Rok (Kim Jae Won) as they navigated the ups and downs of their relationship before finally getting their happy ending.
In the episode, Soon Rok’s scheduled flight was canceled, leading him to head straight to Yu Mi’s house in the rain. Earlier, he had already brought up marriage after giving Yu Mi a proposal ring, but she had asked for more time before making a decision.
When Soon Rok noticed the ring sitting on the table, he cautiously asked if she was thinking about returning it. As Yu Mi grew flustered, he gently told her, “If it feels like too much pressure, you can.” He added, “I think I got too caught up in my own feelings,” before reassuring her, “If it’s you, I can wait.”

Soon Rok then admitted, “I bought it without thinking too much because I was sure we’d end up getting married anyway.” Yu Mi pushed back, saying, “How can you be so sure? We haven’t even been dating for a month yet.”

In response, Soon Rok brought up the moment he first confessed his feelings. “If I didn’t feel sure, I never would’ve run to you like that in the first place,” he said. When Yu Mi asked where that confidence came from, Soon Rok replied, “I just know. I’ve never felt this way in my life before.”
Even so, Yu Mi admitted she still needed more time despite how much she liked him. “I really like you right now, but I still need time,” she confessed, explaining that marriage felt like a huge responsibility to her. She suggested they return the ring for now, and while Soon Rok respected her decision, he couldn’t fully hide his disappointment.

Later, while the couple shared a quiet romantic moment together, Yu Mi’s parents unexpectedly showed up, forcing her to suddenly introduce Soon Rok to them on the spot. Meanwhile, Yu Mi’s beloved “cells” predicted that the time she asked for probably wouldn’t last more than three to six months.

In the end, their prediction proved right, and the episode closed with Yu Mi and Soon Rok officially tying the knot.
