Lee Joon Gi and Kentaro Sakaguchi are teaming up for the new psychological thriller kiDnap GAME, which will premiere on Channel A on October 6th at 10 PM KST.
The Korea-Japan-Hong Kong co-production centers on a series of kidnappings that unfold simultaneously across seven Asian cities: Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila and Naha. As seemingly separate cases become connected to one massive game, the story puts its characters’ choices and convictions to the test.
Sakaguchi stars as Japanese detective Toshiro Niide, a level-headed investigator with a strong sense of justice. But when he is drawn into the case in an attempt to save his wife, even his own beliefs begin to waver.
Lee plays Han Ki Joo, a brilliant surgeon whose visually impaired daughter is kidnapped. Forced to make unimaginable choices to save his family, Han finds himself pushed to the limits of the principles he once lived by as a doctor dedicated to saving lives.
Newly released posters show Toshiro and Ki Joo facing in opposite directions alongside the tagline, “How far would you go to save someone you love? Only one can survive.”
With both men entering the game to save someone precious to them, the thriller is expected to pit cooperation against rivalry as they are forced to decide whether to work together or treat each other as competitors.
