Netflix has released new pictures from Gyeongseong Creature Season 2, sharing a glimpse of the characters in the series.
Set in 2024 Seoul, Season 2 of Gyeongseong Creature continues the story of Ho Jae, a man who eerily resembles Tae Sang. Ho Jae encounters Chae Ok, a survivor of the city’s harrowing spring. Together, they delve into the unresolved mysteries of Gyeongseong, untangling the web of fates, connections, and rivalries that still linger in the city.
In the upcoming season, Park Seo Joon plays Jang Ho Jae, the deputy director of the Bu Gang Corporation detective agency. His character bears a striking resemblance to Jang Tae Sang, the owner of Gyeongseong’s top pawnshop, Geum Ok Dang. This time, Park Seo Joon will bring a fresh charm to Ho Jae, distinct from his portrayal of Tae Sang in 1945.
Han So Hee will reprise her role as Yoon Chae Ok in the upcoming season. In the new stills, she appears unchanged, having lived through the present day after being infected by Najin, a parasite discovered by the Japanese military that takes over the human mind and turns survivors into monsters. Chae Ok, once a tomb raider, is now known as the “Silver Swallow” and specializes in missing person cases.
Lee Moo Saeng plays Captain Kuroko, a secret elite agent who leads a covert organization and devises plans in the Jeonseung Pharmaceuticals lab. Lastly, Bae Hyun Sung takes on the role of Seung Jo, a standout operative at the agency. Seung Jo recognizes Chae Ok’s special abilities and pursues her obsessively.
Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 will be released exclusively on Netflix on Friday, September 27th.
