Drama Ranking for 3rd Week of April
Two tvN series continue to lead the pack, holding the top two spots respectively. Queen of Tears has impressively maintained its number-one position for seven consecutive weeks, while Lovely Runner has secured the second spot for the second straight week. The lead actors of both series—Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Won, Byeon Woo Seok, and Kim Hye Yoon—have dominated the top four spots in the cast rankings, unchanged from last week. Despite its strong performance, Queen of Tears has faced some dissatisfaction due to its dragging plot as it nears its finale. On the other hand, Lovely Runner has been receiving widespread acclaim as a well-executed youth romance drama. MBC’s Chief Detective 1958 debuted at third place with an impressive initial viewership of 10.1%, setting a new record for MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama premiere ratings. However, the series received some criticism for its scattered plot. Netflix’s Parasyte: The Grey has fallen to fourth place, while SBS’s The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection climbed to fifth place, driven by the exit of actress Hwang Jung Eum, who is ranked ninth among actors this week. Disney Plus’s Blood Free, which entered the chart at 5th place last week, saw a drop to 6th spot.

NCT’s Doyoung topped the performer rankings following his appearance on MBC’s I Live Alone, where his deep involvement in a dating reality show resonated well with viewers. I Live Alone itself dropped two places to rank fourth this week. Mnet’s I-LAND2: N/a made its debut at seventh place.
