Do Kyung Soo’s ‘The Moon’ to be Globally Released After Pre-Sales in 155 Countries

The Sci-fi film The Moon, starring Sol Kyung Gu, Do Kyung Soo and Kim Hee Ae, has confirmed its overseas release.

The Moon portrays the intense struggle between Sun Woo, an astronaut isolated on the moon after an accident, and Jae Gook, the former space center director desperately trying to rescue him.

The Moon had successful pre-sales in 155 countries, including North America, the Philippines, Australia, Germany, and Spain. Following this remarkable achievement, the film has confirmed its release in Singapore and the Philippines on August 9th, Malaysia on the 10th, Australia and New Zealand on the 17th, the United States, Canada, and Taiwan on the 18th, and Thailand on the 26th, before its releases in Hong Kong and Macau.

The overseas distribution manager for the new film shared his thoughts about its global release, saying, “We’re really excited because the film showcases top-notch technical skills that will surely captivate audiences worldwide. We’re thrilled to release it in theaters abroad at a similar time as its release in Korea.”

The Moon will hit theaters on August 2nd.
