The 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards (BSA) has announced its final list of nominees.
Launched in South Korea in 2022, the BSA is the nation’s first awards ceremony focusing on OTT original series. They consider dramas and variety shows that have been produced or invested in by a range of platforms including Netflix, Disney Plus, AppleTV, Watcha, Wavve, KakaoTV, Coupang Play, and TVING.
The nominees announced on the 26th include streaming series content that was released between May 1st, 2022, and May 31st, 2023. The selection process combined surveys conducted among industry insiders and general viewers with evaluations by entertainment reporters from Sports Chosun.
In the drama category, The Glory has been nominated in a total of five categories, including Best Drama, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, and Best New Actress. Big Bet is a contender in four categories, including Best Drama, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor and Actress. Both Bargain and Anna have scored three nominations each.
In the variety show category, SNL Korea 3 has been nominated in five categories, including Best Program, Best Male and Female Entertainer, and Best New Male and Female Entertainer. Game of Blood 2 has been nominated in three categories, including Best Program and Best New Male and Female Entertainer.
Meanwhile, the 2nd BSA is set to take place at 8:30 on July 19th KST at Paradise City in Incheon.
