Marvel released its first trailer for The Marvels on April 12th, offering a glimpse of Park Seo Joon in character.
The trailer showcases Captain Marvel (played by Brie Larson), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani), and Park Seo Joon in character. Park Seo Joon, with his long hair, can be seen screaming loudly in the trailer, leaving a brief yet strong impression.
Park Seo Joon is set to take the role of Prince Yan, the dashing husband of Captain Marvel in the original comics, and his addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe has sent fans into a frenzy, especially after fellow South Korean actor Ma Dong Seok’s recent appearance in The Eternals. The anticipation is high for Park Seo Joon’s performance as he steps into this iconic role and brings his own unique flair to the character.
He previously talked about starring in the show in an interview with The Guardian.
In an interview with The Guardian, the actor shared, “When I first heard that the Marvel Cinematic Universe wanted to speak with me, I couldn’t believe it. So watching what I say with anything related to Marvel.“
He continued, “I’m not someone who shies away from challenges, but filming both domestically and internationally has its own set of challenges. So initially, I was a bit nervous. However, everyone on set was so friendly and supportive that I was able to get used to it quickly.”
The Marvels will hit theaters in November.
