Park Ji Hoon’s agency has responded to reports that he has been cast in the upcoming drama Hold the End of This Night (literal translation).
A representative from YY Entertainment said on September 13th, “We did receive a casting offer for the project, but we have not yet had a chance to read the script.” The agency therefore clarified that Park Ji Hoon’s appearance has not been confirmed.
Earlier that day, MyDaily reported that Park Ji Hoon would star in Hold the End of This Night as his next project. The drama reportedly follows two people from very different backgrounds—a drug dealer and a sanitation worker—who end up saving each other. Park Ji Hoon was reportedly being considered for the role of the sanitation worker.
However, his agency said no casting decision has been made yet.
“Park Ji Hoon is currently on tour,” the representative explained. “He has received many offers for dramas and films, but he will likely review the scripts after his tour ends.”
Meanwhile, Park Ji Hoon’s film The Man Standing Next attracted more than 10 million moviegoers after its February release. He also won the Grand Prize at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards.
Park Ji Hoon is also active as a solo singer. He released his first single album in April and began an 11-city Asian tour in May, starting in Tokyo and Seoul.
