Nam Ji Hyun and Kim Jae Young are teasing strong chemistry in TVING’s upcoming romantic comedy Make Me Tingle.
The series follows Gong Yeon Su (Nam), a woman with firm beliefs about love and relationships, and Dokgo Dal (Kim), the CEO of a sex-toy startup whose views could not be more different. As the two repeatedly clash, their relationship gradually begins to change.
Asked to rate their chemistry, Nam went beyond a perfect score.
“110 out of 100,” she said. “Kim Jae Young is naturally very thoughtful, kindhearted and warm. If I’m the type who quietly focuses on work on set, he’s the person who lifts the mood and brings energy and laughter. I want to thank him again for that.”
Kim returned the praise with a score of “100 out of 100.”
“It was such an honor to work with Nam Ji Hyun again after ‘100 Days My Prince,'” he said. “She’s not only a great actress, but also someone whose sincerity toward acting is really admirable. I was happy and had a lot of fun working with her.”
Nam described Yeon Su and Dal’s relationship as “chaotic, then slowly melting,” explaining that their conversations are central to the drama because the two often see the same situation from completely different perspectives.
“They clash a lot,” she said. “But after all that friction, they gradually melt into each other. I tried to show those moments where, even if they’re fighting at first, they slowly begin to understand one another.”
Kim summed up their dynamic as “understanding differences.”
“Dal is very open-minded and says exactly what he thinks, while Yeon Su has clear standards and principles and is more cautious,” he said. “As these two complete opposites spend time together, they slowly begin to understand why the other person thinks and acts the way they do.”
Make Me Tingle will release Episodes 1 through 4 on October 15th via TVING.
