Lee Bo Young and Kang Tae Oh are set to star in ENA’s upcoming legal drama Divorce Investigator Hong Mal Geum (literal title).
The series follows Hong Mal Geum, a divorced mother of three who becomes a family court investigator and finds herself uncovering the truth behind a series of domestic cases while helping families find paths toward reconciliation.
Lee stars as Mal Geum, who is raising three children on her own after divorce. After landing a secure position as a family court investigator, she begins navigating a new life filled with difficult cases and complicated families.
Kang plays Charles Kim, a lawyer with a perfect win record who has an unusual history with Mal Geum. He once represented her ex-husband during their divorce and was responsible for leaving her with nothing.
The production team said Lee and Kang’s pairing would bring “powerful energy” to the series, alongside unpredictable cases and a wide range of family stories.
Divorce Investigator Hong Mal Geum is directed by Kim Dae Jin and written by Park Jung Hee, Choi Min Ji and Wang Young Hee.
The drama is set to premiere on ENA in the first half of 2027 and will also be available on Genie TV.
