Netflix’s live-action Solo Leveling has expanded its cast, adding Han So Hee, Kang You Seok, Sung Jun, Lee Sung Min and Rain alongside previously announced lead Byeon Woo Seok.
The series follows Sung Jin Woo (Byeon), an E-rank Hunter considered the weakest among those protecting humanity from monsters beyond mysterious Gates. After a near-death experience awakens extraordinary abilities, he begins leveling up toward becoming the world’s most powerful Hunter.
Han will play Cha Hae In, Korea’s ninth S-rank Hunter and its only female S-ranker. A skilled swordswoman, she will mark Han’s first on-screen pairing with Byeon.
Kang stars as Yoo Jin Ho, a C-rank Hunter and the second son of the Yoojin Group family who begins looking up to Jin Woo like an older brother after joining him on a dungeon quest.
Sung Jun will play Woo Jin Chul, an A-rank Hunter and chief inspector of the Korean Hunters Association’s Surveillance Team, who becomes one of the first people to suspect that Jin Woo has awakened to new powers.

Lee Sung Min and Rain will make special appearances. Lee plays Go Gun Hee, a retired top-tier Hunter who serves as chairman of the Korean Hunters Association, while Rain takes on the role of Baek Yoon Ho, an S-rank Hunter who can transform into a beast and leads the White Tiger Guild.
Solo Leveling began as a Korean web novel before expanding into a hugely successful webtoon, anime and video game franchise. Netflix says the original web novel and webtoon have amassed 14.3 billion cumulative views worldwide, while the anime won nine categories at the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, including Anime of the Year.
Han Dong Wook, director of The Worst of Evil, has also joined the project as co-director alongside Lee Hae Jun and Kim Byung Seo.
Solo Leveling is currently in production for Netflix, with a premiere date yet to be announced.
