Jo Bo Ah is expected to return to the small screen with The Office Blind Date (literal title).
According to xportsnews, Jo Bo Ah has been offered the female lead role in the drama version of The Office Blind Date and is positively considering it.
The Office Blind Date will be a romantic comedy drama that revolves around the CEO and his employee who met on a blind date under false identity. The original work was released as a web novel in 2017, and the webtoon version was also released the following year. With its hot popularity, the work recorded 320 million cumulative views worldwide.
If Jo confirms her appearance, she will play ordinary office worker Shin Hae Ri. She goes on a blind date pretending to be her best friend but is horrified to realize her date is the CEO of the company she works at.
Kakao Page officially announced in August last year that they would produce The Office Blind Date as a drama. They shared, “It will be a symbolic work that is the result of the IP value chain that we’ve built up so far and the starting point of our global expansion.”
The Office Blind Date will be helmed by Suspicious Partner and Wok of Love director Park Sun Ho. Specific programming and timing are still under discussion.
