Weverse, a BigHit Labels platform that connects fans and artists together, has added another group to its lineup!
ENHYPEN was recently added into Weverse, meaning that a total of six groups are in the community: BTS, Tomorrow By Together, GFRIEND, SEVENTEEN, and NU’EST.
ENHYPEN is a new boy group created in collaboration by BigHit Entertainment and CJ ENM’s BELIEF+ Lab. Over three months, contestants participated on Mnet’s I-LAND survival show. Yang Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Ni-ki, Heeseung, Sunghoon, and Sunoo were the lucky seven members selected through votes and producers’ choice. Yang Jungwon, in particular, received a total of 1,417,620 votes and took first place on the show. ENHYPEN will debut soon, with BigHit Entertainment’s Bang Si Hyuk producing for the group.
ENHYPEN Weverse is an updated version of the previous I-LAND community. Following the end of the show, 2.85 million fans joined the community and proved the global popularity of the show.
Earlier, ENHYPEN opened their official social media account and are currently uploading various contents and pictures. In addition, ENHYPEN’s very first Naver V Live broadcast garnered 1.07 million views and nearly 160 million hearts! In the broadcast, the members revealed that votes would be held to decide the ENHYPEN fandom name. Special gifts will be given to fans who submitted final-round names.
A representative for Weverse said, “It is meaningful for ENHYPEN, which earned explosive international popularity, made their first steps through Weverse. We hope that ENHYPEN will be able to communicate together with their fans and grow together through the Weverse community.”
ENHYPEN also plans to release more content this month.
According to sources, ENHYPEN will make their official debut in November.
Near the conclusion of the I-LAND final episode, a caption that said, “Soon, we will begin a global audition tour to find girls who will debut as the next generation global idols.”
Fans expressed their excitement and curiosity about this surprise announcement. Many are speculating that BigHit Entertainment’s upcoming 20201 girl group will also debut through a girl group version of I-LAND.
