Wi Ha Jun is set to star alongside Lim Ji Yeon in tvN’s upcoming drama Alike (literal title).
Sources confirmed on September 3rd that Wi Ha Jun has joined the cast as one of the leads. The drama is written by Kim In Young and directed by Noh Young Seop.
Alike is a revenge drama about a woman who struggles to find a job. When she finally gets hired, she is fired after her employer discovers that she looks exactly like the company owner’s daughter. Her resemblance leads her to become the woman’s stand-in, eventually landing her in prison in the heiress’s place. After she is released, she teams up with other victims of the powerful family to get revenge and bring them down.
Wi Ha Jun will play Shin Jun Ho, the grandson of a former conglomerate chairman. Smart and level-headed but with a free-spirited side, Shin Jun Ho undergoes major changes after meeting Lee Eun Seok, whose life is suddenly turned upside down. Lim Ji Yeon will play Lee Eun Seok.
Wi Ha Jun made his acting debut in the 2015 film Chinatown (also known as Coin Locker Girl) and has since established himself as a leading actor. He has gained widespread popularity through dramas including Squid Game, 18 Again, Little Women, The Worst of Evil and Siren’s Kiss. He has also shown his versatility across a range of genres, including thrillers, romance, drama and noir.
Fans are already looking forward to seeing Wi Ha Jun and Lim Ji Yeon’s chemistry in Alike. The drama will air on tvN, although its premiere date has not yet been announced.
