Alongside his flourishing personal life, Lee Do Hyun’s career continues to pick up steam. According to a July 20th report by Ilgan Sports, the actor has been confirmed to star in the upcoming period action film Nambeol alongside Go Youn Jung and Lee Byung Hun.
Set in the early Joseon Dynasty, Nambeol is a gritty action film following nine warriors from different walks of life who journey to Tsushima Island to rescue prisoners captured by Japanese pirates. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Lee Mo Gae—a renowned cinematographer known for his work on I Saw the Devil, Asura: The City of Madness and Hunt. The project reunites Lee Do Hyun with the director following their success on the hit film Exhuma.
