The Netflix series Teach You a Lesson is showing no signs of slowing down.
Released on June 5th, the series has continued its global hot streak into its third week, maintaining strong momentum around the world.
The series drew concern even before production began due to controversy surrounding the original webtoon of the same name, including accusations of sexism and racism. But after its release, the show found success with viewers thanks to its cathartic, justice-driven storytelling and storylines that reflect real issues in schools.
According to Netflix on June 24th, Teach You a Lesson remained No. 1 on the Global Top 10 Non-English TV list with 11.8 million views and 126.2 million hours viewed.
While most titles tend to peak shortly after release before gradually losing steam, Teach You a Lesson is continuing to attract global viewers in its third week, signaling a potential long-running hit.
The show is also quickly making its presence felt among Netflix’s all-time Korean original dramas.

With 39.3 million cumulative views, Teach You a Lesson has surpassed My Name, which recorded 29.4 million views, to rank No. 6 among Korean dramas on Netflix. If its current pace continues, it could soon overtake The Glory, which sits at No. 5 with 39.7 million views.
Should it also surpass All of Us Are Dead at No. 4 with 55.5 million views, Teach You a Lesson would become the highest-ranking Netflix Korean original drama outside the top three Squid Game seasons: Season 1 with 265.2 million views, Season 2 with 192.6 million views and Season 3 with 145.8 million views.
Starring Kim Mu Yeol, Lee Sung Min, Jin Ki Joo and Pyo Ji Hoon, Teach You a Lesson follows the Education Rights Protection Bureau as it takes bold action to fix schools and stand on the side of victims.
