Rosé will release her new single “new trick” on September 18 at 8AM KST, according to announcements from Rosé and Apple on social media on September 9th.
The music video for the new track was directed by Dave Meyers, a renowned music video director who has worked with artists including Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar and Harry Styles.
Notably, the entire music video was filmed using Apple’s latest smartphone, the iPhone 18 Pro, as part of the company’s global “Shot on iPhone” campaign.
A previously released teaser showed Rosé holding a lollipop while previewing a snippet of the song, which features distorted electric guitar sounds and layered vocals, hinting at a different musical direction.
Rosé has established herself as a successful solo artist on the global stage. “APT.,” a pre-release single from her debut studio album rosie, released in December 2024, peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track features American pop star Bruno Mars.
Rosé is expected to release a new solo album next year.
