Lee Jung Jae and Mun Ka Young have received offers to star in Sparrow (literal title), the upcoming film from director Choi Dong Hoon, known for Assassination and The Thieves.

According to a report by Max Movie on October 22nd, Lee was approached by Choi about the project sometime in July or August and reportedly expressed verbal interest in joining the cast. However, no formal agreement has been signed.

A representative from Lee’s agency, Artist Company, confirmed the offer, saying, “Lee Jung Jae has received an offer to appear in director Choi Dong Hoon’s new film ‘Sparrow.’ He is currently reviewing the script, and his participation has not been confirmed.”

If Lee accepts the role, the film would mark his first collaboration with Choi in 11 years. The two previously worked together on both box office hits The Thieves and Assassination.

Meanwhile, JTBC Entertainment News reported that Mun Ka Young is also being considered for a role in the film. A representative from her agency, Fantagio, confirmed, “It’s true that she has received an offer.”

Choi is currently in the final stages of writing the screenplay while casting for the film’s leading roles is underway.
