Go Min Si, the lead actress in Netflix’s upcoming series Dead-End Job, will not attend the show’s production presentation on October 28th. Her absence comes amid ongoing controversy over past school violence allegations against her.

Netflix announced on October 22nd that the event will take place at a hotel in Yeouido. Director Kim Da Min, planning director Han Jun Hee, and actors Kim Min Ha and Lee Hee Joon are expected to attend and discuss the series. However, Go Min Si is not on the final guest list.

Netflix explained her absence, saying, “Go Min Si is currently working on another project and will be unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts.”

Co-star Lee Jae Wook will also miss the event because he is currently serving his mandatory military service. He previously made a surprise appearance at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) to greet fans, making up for his absence from the series’ official events.

Dead-End Job is a survival horror series about an unusual staffing agency that offers jobs paying at least five times the standard hourly wage. The story follows a young man named Hyuk Joon as he takes on assignments in terrifying workplaces. Director Kim Da Min, known for her imaginative storytelling, joins forces with planning director Han Jun Hee to create a mystery horror series with a unique premise.

The controversy surrounding Go Min Si dates back to May 2025, when people claiming to be her former middle school classmates accused her of extorting money, verbally abusing classmates, and mocking a student with a disability. Her agency denied the allegations, calling them “clear falsehoods” and threatening legal action. Three months later, Go Min Si addressed the claims herself.

“It is true that I engaged in some misconduct during my school days, but I was never a perpetrator of school violence and have no reason to accept false accusations,” she said.

Despite the actress and her agency’s responses, public opinion remains divided. Go Min Si also faced controversy in 2021 after photos of her drinking at an establishment as a minor surfaced online. She later apologized for the incident.
