Seolhyun plays Min Hui, an ambitious young woman determined to succeed on her own terms who shares a complicated love-hate relationship with Min Ja. Cha portrays Gil Yeo, a celebrated composer known for turning aspiring singers into stars.

The newly released poster centers on a turntable, with scenes from the characters’ lives unfolding around it. Other scenes feature Min Hui singing, Gil Yeo playing the saxophone, Yang Ja (Lee Ha Nee) performing onstage and Mal Sun (Na Moon Hee), an older woman whose experiences span the changing decades.

Tantara is written by No Hui Gyoung, known for Our Blues and Dear My Friends, and directed by Lee Yoon Jung, whose credits include Coffee Prince and Cheese in the Trap.

The series premieres globally on Netflix on December 11th.
