Ahn Yong Jun is facing a lawsuit over allegations of fraud, forgery, and the use of forged documents.
Hankook Ilbo reported on October 21st that an anonymous complainant filed a complaint against Ahn Yong Jun with Haeundae Police Station in Busan. The complaint accuses him of fraud, forging private documents, using forged documents, and forging signatures.
The case reportedly involves investments in performances and fan meetings.
According to the complainant, Ahn encouraged investments by presenting exclusive contracts bearing the names of well-known actors and promising to share the profits. The complainant also alleged that the names, signatures and seals on the documents had been forged.
The complaint further claims that Ahn said he had signed an album production contract with a major entertainment agency, even though no such contract existed. The complainant also alleges that invoices Ahn provided as proof of repayment were forged.
Meanwhile, the head of Ahn’s former agency, Creamate Media, has made further allegations, claiming that Ahn used the names of BTS and other well-known celebrities to attract investments worth billions of won.
In an interview with Star News on October 21st, the former agency head alleged that Ahn solicited money from investors by promising potential profits from investments in celebrity album production, concerts and fan meetings. The agency head also claimed that Ahn used forged contracts to collect investment funds before disappearing.
The total amount of damages claimed in the lawsuit is 489.63 million won (approximately $370,000). However, this figure reportedly includes not only unrecovered investment funds but also money that a third party is asking the complainant to repay.
The former agency head said, “I am also a victim, and I plan to file a lawsuit soon.” Ahn is reportedly not responding to outside inquiries.
Ahn made his acting debut in 2006 and became known for dramas such as Jumong, Capital Scandal and Jeon Woo Chi.
In 2015, he married singer Venny, who is nine years older than him. The couple welcomed a daughter in 2023.
