Ahn Hyo Seop, Hong Hwa Yeon, Chang Ryul and Jung Eugene shared their experiences working together on JTBC’s upcoming culinary drama Final Table ahead of its premiere.
Written and directed by Kim Do Hoon, the series follows Korean chefs from around the world competing in “The Table: K-Chef 2026,” a cooking competition to crown the country’s best chef.
Ahn plays Kang Han, a gifted chef, while Hong stars as Choi Song Yi, owner of restaurant Familia. Chang plays Cha Woo Jin, chef-owner of the prestigious restaurant Exception, and Jung portrays Seon Jeong Won, the executive producer of the cooking competition.
Reflecting on his co-stars, Ahn said, “I felt right away that everyone was perfectly suited to their characters.”
Praising Hong, he added, “She gives her scene partner her full attention, and you can see the emotions shifting in her eyes.”
Ahn also praised Chang’s dedication, saying, “I was impressed by how he stayed fully committed to every single scene. It pushed me to do better, too.” As for Jung, he felt her personality was well suited to her character, who maintains a balance between the other characters.

Hong shared that much of the cast’s downtime revolves around food. “We often talk about what delicious things we’ve eaten lately or what we’re going to eat after filming,” she said, adding that they also recommend shows and films to one another.
Chang said he admired Ahn’s serious approach to acting, Hong’s consideration for those around her and Jung’s steady presence on set.
Jung likewise praised her co-stars, saying, “I remember finding myself rooting for Kang Han whenever I watched Ahn Hyo Seop portray him.” She also described Hong as a positive presence on set and highlighted Chang’s habit of constantly analyzing scripts and scenes.
Final Table premieres October 24th at 10:40 PM KST on JTBC.
