Kim Soo Hyun has officially asked YouTube to take down the channel Hover Lab, which has published videos making allegations about the actor.

JoongAng Ilbo reported on October 20th that Kim Soo Hyun’s representatives asked YouTube to take action against the channel on October 6th, citing its harassment and cyberbullying policy.

Kim Soo Hyun’s team also asked YouTube to remove 30 videos from the channel. The videos reportedly remained online even after channel operator Kim Se Eui was arrested and charged.

Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, has also taken a firm stance against false information and defamatory claims online. On October 14th, the agency warned that anyone who continues to spread Kim Se Eui’s allegations as facts could face legal consequences. The agency stated that it would take strong legal action against those responsible.

From March through December last year, Kim Se Eui used YouTube streams to allege that Kim Soo Hyun had dated the late actress Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor. He also claimed that the actor’s pressure on her to repay a debt contributed to her death.

Police later decided not to pursue charges against Kim Soo Hyun over alleged violations of the Child Welfare Act, citing insufficient evidence. In June, Kim Se Eui was arrested and indicted on charges of defaming the actor by spreading false information.
