Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong‘s former girlfriend has launched a career as a TikTok creator under the name SeeU, sharing updates about their son during a recent livestream.
During a TikTok Live broadcast on October 22nd, SeeU spoke about the attention she had been receiving since making her debut on the platform.
“I’ve been getting so many calls today that I haven’t even had time to eat,” she said.
She also discussed her daily routine as a mother, explaining, “My mornings are incredibly busy. I have someone I need to take care of,” referring to getting her son ready for school.
When a viewer asked how her son was doing, SeeU replied, “He’s growing up really well. He’s doing great in school, he’s handsome, and he’s even the class president. I’m raising him to be a very capable kid.”
After receiving similar questions, she clarified, “Actually, he’s not the class president. He’s always either the student president or vice president. He’s growing up to be such a solid kid.”
“He’s incredibly smart, does really well in school, is handsome and popular, too. If you ask me about him, of course I’m going to brag,” she added jokingly.
SeeU is now affiliated with TikTok livestream agency Lightning Central and reportedly plans to expand her content into beauty, fitness and entertainment.
SeeU and Kim dated for approximately three years beginning in 2012. Their relationship later became the subject of a lengthy legal dispute involving allegations of physical assault, pregnancy and miscarriage. During the proceedings, SeeU gave birth to Kim’s son in September 2015.
In a subsequent civil lawsuit, the court found that some of SeeU’s claims concerning pregnancy and miscarriage were false and ordered her to pay Kim 100 million won in damages. South Korea’s Supreme Court upheld the ruling in 2020, bringing the years-long legal battle to a close.
Reflecting on the case at the time, Kim said, “It took an incredibly long time to be found not guilty, and after all that time, I felt like I hadn’t gained or lost anything. I realized that for a celebrity, being found not guilty doesn’t necessarily mean you’re seen as innocent.”
