Song Hye Kyo has officially signed an exclusive contract with MANAGEMENT STAND.
STAND announced the news on October 23 and welcomed the actress to its roster.
“We will provide full support to help her focus on her work and acting,” the agency said. STAND also promised to support her upcoming projects and activities in South Korea and overseas.
STAND is led by CEO Shin Jae Ho, who previously headed AAP, the agency representing Go Youn Jung and Roh Yoon Seo. Shin first worked with Song when she was active in China, supporting her overseas activities. The two have reportedly maintained a close relationship and built trust over the years.
Shin is also married to a stylist who has worked with Song for more than 20 years. Their long-standing personal connection has drawn attention to the signing, which appears to be more than a simple agency change.
STAND aims to help its artists grow through hands-on management. The agency also plans to expand into different content areas through partnerships and collaborations.
Song is currently preparing for the release of Netflix’s upcoming series Show Business.
