Former Super Junior member Kangin is set to make his first official public appearance in Korea in roughly seven years.

Kangin will attend the GREEDILOUS show at 2027 S/S Seoul Fashion Week on September 4th at World Park in Lotte World Tower, Seoul. He is also scheduled to take part in a photo wall event ahead of the show.

The appearance marks his first official domestic event since leaving Super Junior in 2019.

Kangin largely stepped away from entertainment activities following his departure from the group, though he has continued interacting with fans through YouTube and overseas fan meetings.

He debuted with Super Junior in 2005 and became active in both music and variety shows, but his career was later overshadowed by a series of controversies. He was involved in an assault case in 2009 and a drunk-driving hit-and-run incident later that year. In 2016, he was involved in another drunk-driving accident. He also faced criticism in 2015 for repeatedly failing to attend mandatory reserve military training.

Kangin officially left Super Junior in 2019, saying at the time that he had decided he could no longer delay his departure after watching the other members deal with consequences stemming from his own actions.

After several years away from official entertainment activities, he opened a YouTube channel in 2023 and later resumed meeting fans through overseas fan meeting tours.

His Seoul Fashion Week appearance is now drawing attention as a possible sign of a broader return to domestic activities.
