
BLACKPINK’s Lisa is heading to the big screen with her first solo documentary.
The singer announced September 2nd that Always LALISA will arrive in theaters on October 12th, sharing a new poster featuring her under stage lights.
“Glad to announce that my documentary, Always LALISA, is coming to the big screen on October 12th,” Lisa wrote in the announcement.
The film is also set to make its world premiere in the Gala section of the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival.
Directed by Sue Kim and produced by Sony Music Vision, Always LALISA follows Lisa through a pivotal year of her solo career after branching out beyond BLACKPINK’s group activities. The documentary chronicles her work across music, acting and fashion, while also offering a look at the preparation behind the scenes and the personal concerns she faced along the way.

The project marks Lisa’s first solo documentary and comes as she continues expanding her career beyond music.
She is also gearing up for the release of her upcoming EP PRESS PLAY on October 23rd. Ahead of the project, Lisa will release the pre-release single “SaWaDiKa” on September 3rd.
With both the documentary and new music on the way, Lisa is set for a busy fall as she continues her latest chapter as a solo artist.
