Gang Dong Won has fans worried after appearing with visible bandages and tape marks on both hands during a recent movie press event.

The actor attended the press event for upcoming film Wild Sing on May 7th at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University in Seoul alongside co-stars Um Tae Goo, Park Ji Hyun and Oh Jung Se.

After photos from the event were released, online communities and social media quickly filled with reactions focused on Gang Dong Won’s hands, where multiple skin-toned bandages and taping marks could be seen across his fingers and knuckles.

Some fans jokingly connected the injuries to the film’s idol-themed concept, speculating, “Did he get hurt practicing headbanging?” and “He must’ve gone too hard during dance rehearsals.”

However, since Wild Sing reportedly wrapped filming nearly a year ago, many believe the injuries are likely unrelated to the movie itself.

Attention has instead shifted toward Gang’s currently filming drama Hon: The Time of Triangle (literal title), which stars Kim Go Eun and is already generating major buzz thanks to the pairing of director Kim Won Seok of When Life Gives You Tangerines and writer Park Ji Eun of Queen of Tears.

The project has been described as an extremely secretive production, with very little information publicly revealed beyond its historical romance premise. Anticipation has grown even further after reports that Gang is involved not only as an actor but also as a producer.

Fans are now speculating that the injuries may have come from filming physically demanding scenes for the drama. Gang has long been known for performing many of his own action sequences.

During filming for Master, the actor previously suffered a frightening accident when shattered glass from a car chase scene got lodged in his neck. He also reportedly injured his hamstring while filming Kundo: Age of the Rampant.

His outfit at the press event added even more fuel to the speculation. Gang appeared wearing a Dior look featuring a large ribbon detail around the neck, leading some fans to wonder whether the styling may have been covering a possible neck injury as well.

While there has been no official statement from Gang’s side, concerned fans continue to share messages online hoping the actor stays healthy.
