The upcoming comedy Wild Sing is leaning all the way into nostalgia with its latest teaser drops.
The film follows Triangle, a once-chart-topping co-ed dance trio that suddenly disbanded after an unexpected scandal, as they attempt a bold comeback 20 years later.
The newly released magazine-style poster perfectly recreates the flashy, over-the-top aesthetic of early 2000s K-pop covers. Dressed head-to-toe in bold primary colors — red, green and blue — Gang Dong Won, Um Tae Goo and Park Ji Hyun command attention as former superstar trio members Hyun Woo, Sang Gu and Do Mi, each showing off their own distinct charm.
Adding to the intrigue is Oh Jung Se’s Sung Gon, introduced in a mock interview snippet as the soft-smiling ballad prince, hinting at his connection to the group and his role in their story.
The character introduction video doubles down on the humor by sharply contrasting past glory with present reality.
Gang Dong Won’s Hyun Woo, once a dazzling “dance machine” who dominated the stage, is now a struggling “survival machine,” barely getting by as his fame fades and younger stars overtake him.
Um Tae Goo’s Sang Gu, formerly a high-energy “storm rapper,” reappears as a down-on-his-luck insurance salesman — still rapping through policy explanations for clients, clinging to his passion in the most unexpected way.
Park Ji Hyun’s Do Mi brings one of the film’s biggest twists. Known for her bright, irresistible charm on camera, she flips the switch off-screen with a blunt, no-nonsense attitude. Now married into a wealthy family, she hasn’t lost her fiery, take-no-prisoners edge.
And then there’s Oh Jung Se’s Sung Gon. Once a heartthrob who captured fans’ hearts, his unpredictable present-day path — including a turn toward actual “hunting” — adds another layer of curiosity.
With its mix of throwback flair and offbeat humor, Wild Sing hits theaters on June 3rd.
