Lim Ji Yeon‘s next project has been confirmed.
My Daily reported on May 14th that Lim Ji Yeon will play two distinct characters in new drama Alike.
In the drama, Lim Ji Yeon will play Lee Eun Seok, an ordinary but lovable woman known for her cheerful, cute and humorous personality. She deeply cares for her family, keeps her promises and believes in achieving her goals through hard work. However, she reveals a fierce and determined side when someone disrespects or ruins what she has worked hard for
Alike is a modern-day revenge story inspired by “The Prince and the Pauper”. It follows a poor job seeker who finally lands a job, only to be fired and sent to prison because she looks identical to the company owner’s heir. She later teams up with other underdogs to take down the powerful elite. The drama will portray her intense revenge journey and romance as she gradually transforms into a villain viewers can’t help but root for.
Lim Ji Yeon has built a strong reputation through standout performances in hit dramas including The Glory, Lies Hidden in My Garden and The Tale of Lady Ok. Her latest drama, My Royal Nemesis, also made history as the first SBS Friday-Saturday drama to top Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Shows chart during its premiere week.
With growing global attention on the actress, expectations are high for another major transformation in her next project, Alike.
