Boy group BLITZERS has been quite active in the past few months. From releasing a sub-unit group NPC just a few months ago to now solo activities with certain members, fans of the boy group are loving the numerous creative projects the team is pushing out!

This time, rapper and vocalist SYA, also known as Lee Jun Young, has announced his solo activities and is releasing a new album titled 23:24, which signifies a memorable transition in the artist’s life. The album has a plethora of songs composed by the gifted member himself, but also features the talent of other members as well. From dark days to moments of healing, the song captures SYA’s essence through his own musicality.

With eight interestingly titled songs on the album, “STAY,” “Skit,” “LANDFILL,” “DONE,” “BURN,” “235803,” Right Back,” and “Actually,” respectively, SYA plans to deliver a deep dive into his heart and soul. Before listening to the album and reading ZAPZEE’s exclusive interview, be sure to check out SYA’s special greeting video and message to his endearing fans, BLEE.

Q. Tell us about ‘23:24’ and composing all of the tracks. Which track was the hardest to compose and why?

SYA: There wasn’t any particularly difficult track, but I worked carefully on each and every one.

Q. You worked with member WOOJU to create “235803” – can you share any fun or emotional stories you experienced working with your member?

SYA: I told our member Woojoo the vibe I was looking for, and they delivered it even better than I expected, which I really appreciated!

Q. Can you explain the title of “235803” – what do the numbers mean?

SYA: The track is 1 minute and 57 seconds long, and when it ends, it transitions into the 24:00 mark. So, this title is the amount of time remaining before hitting the 24:00 hour mark.

Q. What is something you learned about music while creating this album?

SYA: I learned a lot about who I am as a person and what kind of artist I should become moving forward. I also learned many things to consider when making an album.

Q. If the group BLITZERS could do any new music genre or style for a comeback, which concept would you choose and why?

SYA: I’d like to try working in the hip-hop genre. It seems like something the members would enjoy, and I think I’d have a lot of fun working on it as well.

Q. Are there any K-Dramas the members are watching lately? Please leave a final message for fans.

SYA: I don’t usually watch dramas, so I’m not very familiar with them, but I recently enjoyed watching a program called EXchange

With so many tracks for listeners to enjoy, SYA earnestly prepared for BLEE. Before coming to a close, SYA happily wanted to share one more message with his fans.

SYA: Lastly, for BLEE, thank you so much for waiting for the album—I’ll continue to share lots of good music with you.
