Seo In Young has finally addressed her infamous 9-year “feud” with Brown Eyed Girls’ Gain, revealing that the two have since made up and are now “close.” She opened up about the long-standing controversy during a recent social media live stream.
“Gain and I are close. Let’s not create any more issues,” she told fans, putting the old rumors to rest. Reflecting on the past, she admitted, “I believe I acted too rashly and immaturely back then.” While she said “nothing happened” between them, she also teased a future tell-all, saying, “I’ll reveal everything about that on YouTube.”
The “feud” dates back to a tense 2016 appearance on talk show Radio Star. In K-pop, artists who debut earlier are considered “seniors”, regardless of their actual age. On the show, Gain recalled a time when Seo In Young called her older bandmate, Narsha, “so cute.” Gain admitted that she “felt annoyed” by this, feeling it was disrespectful for a younger person to speak so casually to an older bandmate.
The on-air exchange became tense, and the incident exploded online after Seo In Young posted a long message on social media, criticizing Gain for being disrespectful to a “senior.”
Now, nine years later, Seo In Young is showing a more mature side by admitting fault. Her recent statement seems to have finally put the old feud to rest, with fans now eagerly awaiting the promised YouTube explanation.
