
2025 is shaping up to be the year of long-anticipated reunions as some of the biggest stars make their return from mandatory military service.
As fans’ long wait comes to an end, these discharge dates are generating massive buzz. Below is a military discharge calendar that recently circulated on an online forum:
May 13: Lee Do Hyun, Hyungwon
May 19th: Ko Woo Rim
June 10th: RM, V
June 11: Jungkook, Jimin
June 21st: SUGA
July 21st: WOODZ
September 20th: Sehun
October 1st: Song Kang
December 14th: Taeyong
December 20th: Hwang Min Hyun
December 31st: Kim Jae Hwan
First to return to their fans are actor Lee Do Hyun and Monsta X member Hyungwon, both completing their service on May 13th. The duo has already teased their comeback plans, with Lee Do Hyun set to return immediately to acting in a new drama by the Hong Sisters (Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran), the powerhouse writing team behind numerous hits. Meanwhile, Hyungwon has secured a hosting gig for “ASEA 2025.” The timing couldn’t be better—Monsta X celebrates their 10th anniversary on May 14th, just one day after his discharge, allowing the complete group to reunite for this milestone celebration.

Then, on June 11th, global phenomenon BTS members Jimin and Jungkook will complete their service together. With all BTS members finishing their military obligations by June, the group is expected to quickly reunite as a complete unit to greet their global ARMY fanbase.
WOODZ wraps up his service on July 21st. He’s wasting no time getting back to work, with a comeback performance already scheduled for “Summer Sonic 2025” in Tokyo and Osaka on August 16th-17th, approximately one month after his discharge.
Song Kang, nicknamed “Netflix’s Son” for his string of hits on the platform, will return on October 1st, generating intense speculation about his first post-military project.
Former NU’EST and Wanna One member turned actor Hwang Min Hyun completes his service on December 20th. Before enlistment, Hwang had built his acting credentials with roles in coming-of-age dramas and historical pieces, and made a notable pivot to action with Study Group.
2025 is shaping up to be the “Year of Comebacks” as stars across all entertainment sectors return from military service one after another, ready to reclaim their positions in the spotlight.
