
BTS, CORTIS, LE SSERAFIM and Taeyong were among the big winners on Circle Chart’s Week 21.
The Circle Chart announced that on the chart for Week 21, covering May 17th to May 23rd, BTS and CORTIS each earned two No. 1s, while LE SSERAFIM topped the Album Chart and Taeyong led the Retail Album Chart.
BTS took home two wins with “SWIM,” the title track of their fifth album ARIRANG, holding No. 1 on the Global K-pop Chart for the ninth straight week. The group also ranked No. 1 on Social Chart 3.0. “SWIM” is a song about continuing to swim forward without stopping through the waves of life.
CORTIS also scored two wins, topping both the Digital Chart and Streaming Chart with “REDRED,” the title track of their second mini album GREENGREEN. The song explores what CORTIS stands against and what the group strives for, with all members taking part in writing and composing it.
LE SSERAFIM claimed No. 1 on the Album Chart with their second album PUREFLOW pt.1, selling 570,408 copies. The album—capturing the changes and growth that come from learning fear—sold a combined 623,270 copies, with all versions released under the album title (CD + Weverse + SMC) on the Album Chart’s Top 100.
Taeyong topped the Retail Album Chart with his first full-length album WYLD – The 1st Album, which sold 52,216 copies at retail. The album marks Taeyong’s return after nearly two years and reflects a stronger, more grounded side of him. All versions released under the album title (CD+SMC) on the Retail Album Chart’s Top 50, including CD and SMC versions, sold a combined 59,132 copies.
ZEROBASEONE landed No. 1 on the Download Chart with “TOP 5.” The track is the lead single from the group’s sixth mini album Ascend- and gives 2000s dance pop a modern twist.
Joseon Hip-Hop earned three wins, topping the BGM Chart with “Forest of the Heart” and leading the Ringtone and Ringback Tone charts with “Damned if you do, damned if you fail.” Joseon Hip-Hop is a project that uses witty lyrics to tell stories and capture emotions from both the Joseon era and the present day, blending hip-hop with a range of genres.
On Social Chart 3.0, which offers a snapshot of K-pop’s global popularity, ITZY recorded the biggest jump in ranking for Week 21.
Meanwhile, new songs that entered the Top 200 on the Week 21 Global K-pop Chart included I.O.I’s “Suddenly” at No. 39, ITZY’s “Motto” at No. 49, LE SSERAFIM’s “BOOMPALA” at No. 56, ZEROBASEONE’s “TOP 5” at No. 60 and Taeyang’s “LIVE FAST DIE SLOW” at No. 103.
