Kang Mina stopped by I.O.I’s concert rehearsal to show her support for her fellow members.
According to multiple insiders on May 28th, Kang Mina made a surprise visit that afternoon to the Seoul rehearsal for I.O.I’s 10th anniversary concert tour “2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: LOOP,” where she reunited with the members. I.O.I is set to meet fans at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul from May 29th to 31st.
An insider said Kang Mina made time out of her busy schedule to visit the rehearsal run-through after realizing she would be unable to attend the actual concerts due to a pre-scheduled commitment.
Formed in 2016 through Mnet’s Produce 101, I.O.I became a nationwide sensation with hits like “Very Very Very” and “Dream Girls.” After wrapping their project-group promotion, the members went on to pursue careers in their own fields before recently reuniting to mark the 10th anniversary of their debut. Jeon Somi, Kim Se Jeong, Yoojung, Chungha, Kim So Hye, Jung Chae Yeon, Kim Do Yeon, Lim Na Young and Yeon Jung are currently promoting together after releasing their anniversary single “Suddenly.”
Kang Mina and Zhou Jieqiong were previously unable to join the 10th anniversary activities due to scheduling conflicts, which led some to speculate about tension among the members. However, with Kang Mina personally visiting the members ahead of their concert and offering her heartfelt support, those unfounded rumors are expected to be firmly put to rest.
Since debuting with I.O.I, Kang Mina has expanded her career into acting, earning praise for her performances in dramas including Hotel Del Luna, Moonshine, Café Minamdang, Welcome to Samdal-ri and Twelve. She is also set to return to viewers in tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama See You at Work Tomorrow!, premiering June 22nd.
I.O.I, who last performed together onstage at “Time Slip – I.O.I” in 2017, will reunite for the first time in about nine years. Following their Seoul concerts, the group is scheduled to tour major Asian cities including Bangkok and Hong Kong.
