Kim Soo Hyun is stepping up his return to the entertainment industry with a major fan meeting in the Philippines.
After resuming advertising activities for the first time in a year and four months, the actor has now confirmed a large-scale overseas fan event. He will meet approximately 20,000 fans at a BENCH-hosted fan meeting on Oct. 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.
The event will feature a talk session, performances and other activities designed to bring Kim closer to his local fanbase.
“We prepared this fan meeting to give Filipino fans who have supported Kim Soo Hyun an unforgettable experience,” BENCH said. “We will do our best to create special memories for both the actor and his fans.”
The announcement follows Kim’s recent return to the industry through a campaign with the brand, marking a gradual resumption of his public activities.
Kim has built a strong following in the Philippines through hit dramas including My Love From the Star, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and Queen of Tears.
His return comes after Seoul’s Seongdong Police Station decided not to refer him to prosecutors over allegations that he violated South Korea’s Child Welfare Act in connection with claims that he dated the late actress Kim Sae Ron while she was still underage.
Kim’s attorney said authorities found insufficient grounds to support allegations that the two dated while she was a minor or that he committed sexual or emotional abuse in violation of the law.
The complaint had been filed by Kim Sae Ron’s family in May 2025. Kim Soo Hyun has maintained that their relationship began only after she became an adult.
