IVE’s An Yujin has reportedly won a unit at The H Bangbae, a luxury apartment complex in Seoul’s Seocho District.
According to the sales industry on July 10, An was selected in the general sales lottery for The H Bangbae, a redevelopment project in Bangbae District 5 set to begin move-ins this September.
The complex drew major interest with around 215 lottery-based units. Although it was subject to the government’s price cap system, it does not have a mandatory residency requirement, making the competition especially fierce.
It has not been confirmed whether An plans to live in the apartment herself.
The H Bangbae began sales in August 2024, with prices reaching 1.70 billion won ($1.13 million) for 59-square-meter units; 2.24 billion won ($1.49 million), for 84-square-meter units; 2.5 billion won ($1.66 million), for 101-square-meter units; and 2.762 billion won ($1.83 million) for 114-square-meter units.
An 84-square-meter unit sold in April for 3.69295 billion won ($2.45 million), according to government transaction data, meaning prices have jumped by more than 1.45 billion won ($960,000) in roughly two years.
Current asking prices for 84-square-meter units are reportedly around 4 billion won ($2.65 million). If An won an 84-square-meter general sale unit, she could be looking at nearly 1.8 billion won ($1.19 million) in potential market gains.
Actor Lee Pil Mo is also reportedly a member of The H Bangbae’s redevelopment association. He is said to have entered the members-only penthouse lottery but did not win.
The H Bangbae consists of 29 buildings, with four basement levels and up to 33 floors above ground, totaling 3,064 units. Built under Hyundai E&C’s premium The H brand, the complex offers easy access to Isu Station on Lines 4 and 7 and Bangbae Station on Line 2.
Bangbae-dong, known for its mix of luxury villas, detached homes and apartments, has long been considered one of Seoul’s wealthy neighborhoods.
