Ji Ye Eun and Vata of the dance crew WE DEM BOYZ are getting married.
According to a September 2nd report from My Daily, the couple will tie the knot on December 12 at a wedding venue in Seoul.
Sources close to the couple say that although they have been dating for only about a year, they have grown serious about their relationship and decided to get married. They have already shared the news with close friends and acquaintances, who have been sending them their congratulations.
Rumors of their relationship first surfaced in April. Representatives for both sides confirmed that the two had gone from colleagues to dating, saying, “They are seeing each other with good feelings. We ask for your warm support.”
The couple first met at church and grew closer while sharing their faith. Ji Ye Eun, a devoted Christian, has previously talked about her faith on several broadcasts. “My mother is a deacon, and I used to teach the middle school group,” she said.
She has also spoken warmly about Vata, praising him for his lifestyle and faith. “A lot of people these days don’t give up drinking or smoking, but Vata quit after finding faith. He’s incredibly kind,” she said. She also revealed that he has been learning to cook for her.
Vata has supported Ji Ye Eun’s projects as well. He choreographed the “Milkshake” performance for Waterbomb Seoul 2025 by project group Chungju Jissi, which was formed by Ji Suk Jin and Ji Ye Eun last year.
Ji Ye Eun also openly showed her affection for Vata during a May appearance on the YouTube show “Pinggyego.” When asked what nickname she calls him, she jokingly answered, “Puppy? Just kidding,” before admitting, “Baby,” while blushing.
Ji Ye Eun made her acting debut in 2017 with the web drama “How To” and rose to fame through Coupang Play’s “SNL Korea.” She has since appeared on SBS’s “Running Man,” Coupang Play’s “Office Workers,” Netflix’s “Daehwanjang Gijang,” and “Yoo Jae Suk Camp.”
Vata is the leader of WE DEM BOYZ, who finished as runners-up on Mnet’s dance competition “Street Man Fighter” in 2022. He has also worked as a choreographer for major artists, including BLACKPINK’s Jennie, and continues to perform at various festivals with his crew.
