An Yujin is proving that even brand ambassadors are not immune to fine print.

The IVE leader recently shared a funny story with fans after being denied a debit card from Hana Bank, despite currently serving as one of the brand’s models.

On January 6th, the singer told fans on the messaging platform Bubble, “I heard there was a Yujin card coming out from Hana Bank, so I said I wanted one. I asked, ‘What do I need to do?’ and they told me I wasn’t eligible.”

The card in question turned out to be the Hana Nara Sarang Card, a special-purpose debit card issued exclusively to those preparing for active-duty enlistment or currently serving in the military. In addition to basic payment functions, the card is used for military salary deposits and official identification—making it unavailable to civilians.

In other words, no matter how much she wanted it, An simply did not meet the requirements.

Fans found the situation hilarious, flooding social media with comments like “They should at least give her one as a souvenir without the card functions,” “I kind of want one too,” and “This is the most An Yujin story ever.”

Despite the rejection, An Yujin continues to rack up wins. She was recently honored at the 2026 Korea First Brand Awards, taking home the prize for Female Variety Idol, an award determined through nationwide consumer surveys recognizing brands and figures expected to lead the coming year.
