BTS could be heading to the desert in 2027.
According to HITS Daily Double, Goldenvoice is actively pursuing a deal with the K-pop supergroup for next year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which is set to take place April 9th-11th and April 16th-18th at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
The report comes as BTS kicks off a four-night run at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles beginning September 1st, adding further momentum to speculation over the group’s next major U.S. festival appearance.
No deal has been confirmed, but HITS reports that Goldenvoice is “hot and heavy” in its pursuit of BTS as organizers continue shaping the 2027 lineup.
If the booking comes together, it would mark another major U.S. festival milestone for the group following their return to full-group activities.
BTS is not the only major act reportedly in the mix. Sources cited by HITS say Dua Lipa and Tame Impala are also expected to land headlining slots, while Fred again.. is being eyed for a prominent electronic music billing.
Tame Impala previously headlined Coachella in 2019 and has appeared at the festival several times, while Dua Lipa has yet to perform a full solo set there, having previously joined Martin Garrix as a guest in 2017.
Other names reportedly being considered for major placement include SZA, Oasis and Radiohead, though the report suggests SZA is viewed as considerably more likely than the latter two.
Miley Cyrus was also reportedly approached for a headlining slot but is said to have declined.
Coachella’s full 2027 lineup has yet to be announced.
