Disney Plus has unveiled the trailer for Love In Sync, teasing a romantic comedy built on a mysterious emotional connection.

Love In Sync follows a woman who rejects empathy and a man burdened by it as their worlds begin to collide through the surreal phenomenon of “emotional transfer.”

The trailer quickly grabs attention with a twist: what seemed like a one-way emotional transfer begins to work both ways.

It opens with Yoo Ji An (Kang Min Ah), a former national girl group member turned top actress, facing a string of setbacks that hardly match her glamorous image. After being dropped from a project, scammed and humiliated, Ji An suddenly begins hearing the emotions of her therapist, Cha Eun Hwan (Kim Myung Soo).

“I’m telling you, I can feel your emotions exactly the same way!” Ji An says, confronting the strange phenomenon head-on. Eun Hwan, meanwhile, panics at the thought of his feelings being exposed, setting up a playful chemistry between the two.

Although Eun Hwan initially denies the emotional transfer, he gradually changes his mind and shares his emotions with Ji An, who is anxious about missing what may be her last chance before being pushed out of the entertainment industry.

The trailer also reveals the moment the once one-sided transfer becomes mutual. “Now I’m starting to hear your emotions,” Eun Hwan confesses, leaving Ji An stunned.

As the two are forced to face and understand each other’s feelings, Love In Sync promises an unpredictable emotional-transfer romance.

Love In Sync premieres July 4th on Disney+, with new episodes every Saturday and Sunday.
