With only two episodes left, the stars of My Royal Nemesis are looking back on the scenes that stayed with them most.

The SBS Friday-Saturday drama is a romantic comedy about Shin Seo Ri, a struggling actress possessed by the spirit of a notorious Joseon villainess, and Cha Se Gye, a ruthless chaebol heir known as a monster created by capitalism.

The drama recently hit a new personal best with 10.5% in nationwide ratings, according to Nielsen Korea. It has also led the week among all programs in the key 20-49 demographic, with a peak rating of 3.98%.

Ahead of the finale, the production team shared the favorite scenes chosen by Lim Ji Yeon, playing Shin Seo Ri and Kang Dan Sim; Heo Nam Jun, playing Cha Se Gye; and Jang Seung Jo, playing Choi Moon Do.

Lim Ji Yeon chose the ending of Episode 7, where Seo Ri moves forward to keep her promise to Se Gye in a fairytale-like sequence that became a major talking point.

She also picked Seo Ri’s line from the scene as one of the drama’s most memorable. “It’s the scene where Seo Ri speaks her mind, “‘It’s okay if I fall apart. It’s okay if I break,'” Lim said. “That line felt the most like Seo Ri, and it stayed with me because it showed her unwavering sincerity and courage toward Se Gye.”

Heo Nam Jun selected the Episode 3 ending, known as the “handprint contract” scene.

“It was the scene where I felt the most immersed while filming,” he said. “It was memorable because it marked the real beginning of Seo Ri and Se Gye’s relationship.”

He also chose “contract signed” as a memorable line from the same scene. “While acting, I was so focused on my own lines and emotions that I couldn’t fully take everything in,” he said. “But when I watched the broadcast, I was amazed by how perfectly the camera work, lighting, editing and music came together. It made me grateful because I felt everyone on the crew had done their best in their own place.”

Jang Seung Jo, who has made an impression as a chilling villain, chose the “Kang Hee Bin possession meme” scene from Episode 2.

“I think it’s a great scene because it clearly shows the unique tone, style and direction of our drama,” he said. “It helped draw viewers into the drama’s charm.”

After delivering so many standout moments, all eyes are on what My Royal Nemesis has left in store for its final two episodes. Episodes 13 and 14 air June 19th and 20th at 9:50 PM KST on SBS.
