Song Kang is officially back on variety TV — and fans are just as excited about his post-military looks as they are about his return.
tvN’s You Quiz on the Block shared photos of the actor with host Yoo Jae Suk, teasing his upcoming appearance with the caption, “Song Kang’s visuals survived his military hiatus.”
The newly discharged star looked virtually unchanged from his pre-enlistment days — or, according to some fans, even better.
“He’s way too handsome,” one commenter wrote. Others added, “I can’t wait to see him on TV,” “The day has finally come,” “How is it that he got even more handsome?” and “Song Kang went to the military and somehow came back even better-looking.”
Song completed his mandatory service in the South Korean Army last October. His appearance on You Quiz on the Block, airing August 26th at 8:45 PM KST, marks his return to variety television after his discharge.
He won’t be away from the small screen for long, either. Song is also set to lead tvN’s new drama Four Hands, Two Sonatas, premiering August 29th.
Set at an arts high school for gifted musicians, the series follows a group of young talents navigating friendship, rivalry and ambition. Song plays Kang Bio, a perfectionist pianist at the center of the story.
