Netflix is giving fans their first look at The WONDERfools—and it’s anything but your typical superhero story.

The upcoming series, starring Park Eun Bin, Cha Eun Woo, Choi Dae Hoon, and Im Seong Jae, has released its main poster and trailer, teasing a chaotic, comedic adventure set at the turn of the millennium.

Set in 1999, the story follows a group of unlikely locals who suddenly gain superpowers and band together to protect their city from mysterious threats. The newly released poster captures the four characters in the middle of a crumbling, apocalyptic cityscape, hinting at both the scale of destruction—and the humor to come.

Park Eun Bin’s Eun Chae stands front and center, with each of the four characters hinting at their unique powers—teleportation, telekinesis, and other unusual abilities—giving a quick glimpse of the show’s quirky superpowered team. The tagline, “Loveable misfits will save the world,” sets the tone for the group’s quirky dynamic.

The trailer opens on Eun Chae, blood dripping from her nose as she asks, “So I’m really going to die?” From there, it dives into a series of bizarre moments—teleporting onto rooftops, falling into the past, and discovering strange new abilities. As the trio struggles to adjust, they encounter Cha Eun Woo’s more experienced telekinetic character, whom they begin following around like a mentor—much to his confusion.

But beneath the humor, a darker thread emerges. A mysterious figure played by Son Hyun Joo appears alongside the trio known as the “Wunderkinder,” hinting at a deeper threat tied to unexplained disappearances.

“It’s not that I’m nothing. I just haven’t done anything yet,” Eun Chae says in the trailer—setting the stage for a ragtag team stepping up in the face of chaos.

The WONDERfools premieres May 15th, exclusively on Netflix.
