The robber who invaded Nana’s home had his appeal for release denied by the court. He had argued that the police allegedly failed to inform him of his Miranda rights, citing this as the reason for his appeal.

Yonhap News reported on November 24th that the Guri Police Station plans to refer the perpetrator to the prosecution today.

The robber invaded Nana’s home armed with a weapon on the morning of November 15th. The actress and her mother engaged in a physical fight to stop him. He reportedly sustained a laceration to his jaw from the weapon during the altercation.

Nana and her mother were recognized for acting in self-defense.

A police official explained, “There was actual harm to the victims, and investigations showed that they did not inflict serious injury on the suspect during their defense. We determined that the victims’ actions constituted self-defense and therefore did not book them.”

Furthermore, he filed a request to challenge his detention on November 18th, claiming that the police had not informed him of his Miranda rights during his arrest. However, the court dismissed this claim. His detention period was extended due to the review request, and the police stated that he would remain in custody as of November 24th.
