Lee Se Young is taking on a new challenge as the host of the upcoming dating show My Last Love (literal title) working title.
According to OSEN, Lee Se Young will serve as an MC for the new Netflix and SBS dating reality show, which is set to premiere in August. She will be joined by CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, SEVENTEEN’s DK and former IZ*ONE member Choi Yena as regular panelists, creating a fresh lineup.
My Last Love will follow single men and women in their 20s and 30s who have faced life-or-death experiences as they set out to find love. The format will feature real-life contestants on camera, with the MCs and panelists watching the footage and sharing their honest reactions.
The show comes from the team behind SBS’ Fortune Tellers’ Love, which drew attention for focusing on the love lives of young fortune tellers.
Lee Se Young, who began her career as a child actress in 1997, is hosting a dating show for the first time. After building a strong filmography across historical dramas and romantic comedies, her first turn as a romance reality show MC is drawing interest.
The idol panelists joining her are also raising anticipation.
Jung Yong Hwa is expected to bring his experience as both a singer and actor as he reacts to the contestants’ stories. DK will become a fixed cast member on a reality variety show for the first time through My Last Love. Choi Yena is expected to join Lee Se Young in offering a female perspective and capturing the more delicate emotional beats.
My Last Love will be released simultaneously on Netflix and SBS this August.
