Lee Joon Gi has reportedly seen the value of his luxury apartment in Seoul rise by approximately 1.5 billion won (around $1.1 million) since purchasing it in 2013.
According to an October 25th video from the YouTube channel “wander planet,” Lee has lived in the same apartment at The Sharp Star City, a luxury residential and commercial complex in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin District, for more than a decade.
Completed in 2007, the complex consists of four towers reaching up to 58 stories, with a total of 1,177 residential units. Located near Konkuk University Station on subway lines 2 and 7, the development offers convenient access to shopping facilities.
Lee reportedly shares a 207-square-meter apartment with his younger sibling. The unit has four bedrooms and two bathrooms.
“Star City is well known as a residential complex where many celebrities have lived,” the channel explained. “Numerous stars have come and gone over the past 14 years, but Lee Joon Gi has continued living in the same home.”
Lee purchased the property in 2013, following his appearance in the drama Tale of Arang for approximately 1.1 billion won. Its current estimated market value stands at 2.64 billion won, a stark increase of about 1.54 billion won. The property’s size and views of the Han River are cited as factors contributing to its appreciation.
That same year, Lee reportedly purchased another apartment for his parents at Cheongna Prugio in Incheon’s Cheongna International City. The 378-square-meter unit, described as the largest and highest-floor residence in the complex, reportedly cost 1.73 billion won.
Lee began his entertainment career as a commercial model in 2001 before rising to fame with the 2005 film The King and the Clown. He went on to star in popular dramas including My Girl, Time Between Dog and Wolf, Iljimae, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and Flower of Evil.
The actor recently returned to television after three years with kiDnap GAME, an international thriller co-starring Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi. The series is described as Fuji TV’s largest global co-production to date and airs on Channel A on Tuesdays, with streaming available on Disney Plus.
