Namkoong Min is showing his romantic side as he prepares to become a father following news of wife Jin Areum‘s pregnancy.
On the June 21st episode of JTBC’s variety show Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, The Husband stars Namkoong Min and Kim Dae Myung will appear as guests.
Namkoong Min married actress Jin Areum in October 2022. At the time, a video of his proposal on their wedding day drew attention across online communities and social media.
In the video, the couple was having dinner together at a restaurant when Namkoong shifted the mood by asking, “There’s something I want to ask you. Will you hear me out?” After Jin said yes, Namkoong got down on one knee, took out a ring and asked, “Will you marry me?” Jin then teared up and gently stroked his cheek in an emotional moment.
The guests watching the proposal cheered and applauded, congratulating the couple and wishing them well.
As the video spread online, viewers reacted with comments such as, “This made me cry,” “I get emotional no matter how many times I watch it,” and “This feels right out of a rom-com.”
Namkoong shared the story behind the romantic proposal, saying, “I watched a lot of Hollywood movies growing up, so I always thought proposing was a given.”
The episode will also reveal Namkoong’s unexpectedly big appetite. He shares, “Once my appetite kicks in, I eat for 14 hours. After drinking, I often look at the aftermath of my food binge the next day and regret it.”
